Penfro Consultancy Limited was founded in 2014 by Director Robert Davies, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and is based upon 30 years’ experience working on high profile construction and civil engineering projects both in the UK and the Middle East.
Company Mission Statement
From the outset, the mission was to create a locally based practice of Chartered Surveyors and Cost Consultants to support and assist in the delivery of construction projects. To create a team that offers honest, proactive, and a collaborative approach to everything that we do and thereby creating a trusted and respected local brand and identity within the marketplace.
Penfro Consultancy Limited are regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Experience
We are currently working with developers, principal contractors, and financial lenders to provide contract and commercial support to residential projects at various stages from feasibility through to construction which are valued more than £60m.
We are appointed in various roles, however with most client appointments we are involved at pre-planning to engage with client and other project stakeholders to prepare feasibility estimates and assist with value engineering cost solutions for project optimisation and ensuring that the project meets with the clients’ brief and overall budgetary expectations.
For one of our largest schemes, we have currently been appointed as the Lead Consultant given our location and it is our responsibility to pro-actively co-ordinate the design team to deliver the scheme including progress meetings, pre-construction programme, engagement with client lenders and appointment of a preferred contractor during the final detailed design stage to advise on programme management and engineering solutions.
Upon client securing the project finance, we will be appointed as the Employers Agent to provide full project management, co-ordination, and cost advice for the scheme.
We also work with lending institutions and are appointed as Fund Monitoring Surveyors to work closely with developers.
Our Approach
We fully understand the importance of having an integrated team approach from an early stage and
the benefits that it offers the project stakeholders. It will be key to the success of any project to have an open, honest, and collaborative approach from the outset and working with all other organisation to ensure that the objectives, priorities, and deliverables are carried out in a diligent and professional manner.
It is also important to us as a local organisation when working with local companies to assist in supporting them to upskill their resource base and overall competencies and we work closely with other consultants to expand our overall capability and offering to our clients.
